Accessing Your NetScreen-5XP Using the WebUI

Note: This article applies to ScreenOS 4.0 and higher.

To access your NetScreen-5XP using the WebUI, perform the following steps:

Step one: Connect your NetScreen-5XP to an Ethernet port on a workstation or network hub/switch. For more information on how to connect your NetScreen-5XP, go to Connecting Your NetScreen-5XP to a Network.

Step two: If this is the first time you are using the WebUI, in the browser Address box, enter the default manage IP address: 192.168.1.1.

 Note: If you have previously configured a Manage IP for the device, enter that IP address.

Step three: From the Enter Network Password dialog box, enter your User Name and Password.

Note: The default User Name and Password is netscreen.

Step four: Click OK.

Note: The NetScreen-5XP configuration screen will open. For more information about configuring a Manage IP address, go to Configuring a Manage IP Address on Juniper Networks 5GT, 5XP or 5XT.
