Uninstalling Previous Versions of NetScreen-Remote

Problem:

Solution:
Note: This article applies to NetScreen-Remote VPN Client 8.0 and above.

To uninstall a previous version of NetScreen-Remote, perform the following steps:

Step one: From the Start menu, select Settings, and click Control Panel.

Step two: From the Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Step three: From Add/Remove Programs, click NetScreen-Remote, and then click Change/Remove.

Step four: From the NetScreen-Remote Setup wizard, click to select Remove.

Step five: Click Next.

Step six: From the Confirm Uninstall dialog box, click OK.

Step seven: From the Uninstall Security Policy dialog box, click to choose Yes or No.

Note: If you choose Yes, your security policies, personal certificates, and private/public keys will be automatically reconfigured the next time the NetScreen-Remote is installed. If you choose No, your settings will be lost and you will need to manually reconfigure them the next time you install NetScreen-Remote.

Note: For this example we chose No.

Step eight: Click to select Yes, I want to restart my computer now. Click Finish.
