Allowing Outbound Traffic on Your NetScreen-25/50

Note: This article applies to ScreenOS 4.0.

Note: By default, your NetScreen-25/50 does not allow inbound or outbound traffic. The following access policy permits all outbound traffic from any point on the trusted network to any point on the untrusted network. This is helpful for initial setup, as you can quickly allow access to the Internet.

Step one: Open the WebUI. For more information on accessing the WebUI, go to Accessing Your NetScreen-25/50 Using the WebUI.

Step two: From the NetScreen options menu, click Policies.

Step three: From the Policies window, in the From drop-down menu, click to select Trust.

Step four: From the Policies window, in the To drop-down menu, click to select Untrust, and then click New.

Step five: In the New Policy window, click OK.
