Link up NetScreen-5GT with Cisco 3550 by "auto" and 10m bps
Problem or Goal:
NetScreen-5GT Cisco 3550 Switch ScreenOS 4.0.0-Dial2r7.3 NetScreen-5GT(auto) cannot link up with Cisco 3550(10m bps full/half)
Solution:The NetScreen-5GT will not be able to provide a solid link if the NetScreen-5GT is set to auto-negotiate, and the switch interface is hard coded to 10 MBit/sec. Juniper Networks will only guarantee link settings if speed and duplex modes are identical on either side. In other words, both sides must be either auto, 10MBit/Sec Full, or 10Mbit/sec half duplex.
Note: There was a bug in 4.0.0-DIAL2r6.3, where link would go up and down when both sides were set to 100 Mbit/sec full duplex. This was addressed in 4.0.0-DIAL2r7.3.
