Known issues and limitations list for Microsoft Vista support in IVE software version 5.5 R1.
- Secure Virtual Workspace is not supported in 5.5 for Microsoft Vista platform
- On Vista, we don’t support applications that require JSAM to modify the registry, etc/hosts and etc/lmhosts.sam. The following are not supported:
- Outlook
- Deployment where external DNS setup is not used to map hostnames to loopback addresses
- Applications where the loopback addresses cannot be configured as the destination server
- JSAM/NetBIOS not supported for Microsoft Vista platform in IVE Software version 5.5
- Adaptive delivery for Java is not supported in 5.5 for Microsoft Vista users on Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7). Java delivery is supported for non Microsoft Browsers (review the supported platform documentation for a complete list of browsers supported per component).
- Microsoft Sharepoint limitations:
- To use Sharepoint 2003 through the rewriter on Vista, users must add the IVE to the Trusted Sites zone on IE7 where Protected Mode is disabled.
- A production certificate is required on the IVE to use Explorer View on the Vista platform.
- On Vista, admin must enable Persistent Session under Roles -> Session Options for Explorer View to work.
- Using IE7, if user encounters problems accessing Explorer View the second time after he sign out of IVE and sign back in, try deleting IE 7 file cache.
- With Vista strong host model enabled, when Network Connect client connects to IVE, current local area network traffic doesn’t go through Network Connect tunnel even if split tunnel disabled is configured.
- From IVE Software version 5.5 release and onwards, Windows 98 SE and Windows NT are not supported
- Firefox 2.0 is supported in 5.5 R1 and higher for the Microsoft Vista platform
- Release 5.5 of the IVE Software supports Microsoft Vista 32 bit platform only
