Synopsis:
Configuring Host Checker (HC) to detect SonicWall Enforced Client

Problem:
  • SonicWall Enforced Client is "not" listed in the AV programs on our HC configuration
  • Is SonicWall Enforced Client supported by the current ESAP (Endpoint Security Assessment Plug-in)?
  • How do I setup my Host Checker to detect SonicWall Enforced client?

Solution:
Yes, SonicWall Enforced Client is already supported.  SonicWall Enforced Client is detected as McAfee - Total Protection for Small Business v4.x.

To configure the same, use the following steps:
  1. Go to Authentication > Endpoint Security > Host Checker.
  2. Click on "New" policy.
  3. Enter a "Policy Name" and click "Continue"
  4. From the drop down, select "Predefined:  AntiVirus"
  5. Click "Add"
  6. Enter a "Rule Name"
  7. Select "Total Protection for Small Business v4.x" to check for "Sonicwall Enforced Client".
  8. Select other features as needed and then click "Save changes".
