Note: This article applies to ScreenOS 4.0.  Manual Key Dial Up VPN configurations are not supported in Screen OS 5.0 and above.

 

To create a dial up VPN using manual keys, perform the following steps:

Step one: Configure an address book entry for the internal network. For more information on configuring an address book entry for the internal network, go to Configuring an Address Book Entry for the Internal Network.

Step two: Configure a manual key dial up VPN user. For more information on configuring a manual key dial up VPN user, go to Configuring a Manual Key Dial Up VPN User.

Step three: Configure a policy for dial up VPN. For more information on configuring a policy for dial up VPN, go to Configuring a Policy for Dial Up VPN.

Step four: Configure the NetScreen-Remote for dial up VPN using manual keys. For more information on configuring the NetScreen-Remote for dial up VPN using manual keys, go to Logging into the VPN with NetScreen-Remote Using Manual Keys.
