My Dial-Up VPN Establishes, However There Is no Traffic Passing
Problem or Goal:Environment:
- Dial Up VPN using XAuth
- Phase 1 and Phase 2 completed
Symptoms & Errors:
- Key Download Failed
- Error Downloading Keys
- failure finding or creating filter entry
- Failed downloading keys
- Cannot send traffic through VPN
If you are using XAUTH with Dial-Up VPN, and the VPN is establishing but there is no traffic passing through the tunnel, you may see the following errors in the NetScreen-Remote log viewer:
Failure finding or creating filter entry
Failure finding or creating filter entry
Key download failed
Error downloading key
Failed loading the keys
This can occur if the Internet interface in the NetScreen-Remote client is set to a specific adapter.
To configure the Internet interface, perform the following steps:
From the Start menu, click Programs, select NetScreen-Remote, and then click Security Policy Editor. 
Click to expand New Connection, and then click My Identity. 
From Internet Interface, in the Name drop-down menu, click to select Any. 
From the File menu, click Save.
