Problem:
Several vendors' implementations of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) are susceptible to various vulnerabilities when subjected to malformed or out-of-specification packets. These vulnerabilities can cause a BGP application to stop operating or to operate irregularly, resulting in a Denial of Service.
Solution:
Juniper Networks has tested all its implementations of BGP using the tools supplied by CERT/CC. The tests results show no anomalous behavior. Therefore, our products are not susceptible to these vulnerabilites.
Implementation:
Juniper Networks products are not susceptbile to these vulnerabilites; no customer action is required.
