Multiple vulnerabilities have been resolved in the Contrail Insights (formerly known as AppFormix) 3.2.12 release by updating third party software included with Contrail Insights.
These issues affect Juniper Networks Contrail Insights versions prior to 3.2.12.
Juniper SIRT is not aware of any malicious exploitation of this vulnerability.
This issue was discovered during a external security research.

Some implementations allocate memory for these headers and keep the allocation alive until the session dies. This can consume excess memory. |
The following software releases have been updated to resolve these specific issues: Contrail Insights 3.2.12, and all subsequent releases.
This issue is being tracked as AP-912.
There are no known workarounds for this issue.
To reduce the risk of exploitation of these issues, use access lists or firewall filters to limit access to Contrail Insights to only trusted administrative networks, hosts and users.
