Product Affected:
These issues affect Steel Belted Radius Carrier Edition. Affected platforms: 64-bit Solaris.
Problem:

Multiple vulnerabilities in OpenLDAP have been resolved in the Juniper Networks Steel-Belted Radius (SBR) Carrier AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting) server on 64-bit Solaris by upgrading OpenLDAP from version 2.4.50 to 2.4.58 for 64-bit Solaris alone.

These issues affect all versions of Juniper Networks SBR Carrier prior to 8.6.0R15 on 64-bit Solaris.

These issues are not applicable to 32-bit Solaris.

These issues are not applicable to any Linux versions of SBR Carrier.

Juniper SIRT is not aware of any malicious exploitation of these vulnerabilities.

These issues were discovered during external security research.

CVE-2021-27212 7.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H) In OpenLDAP through 2.4.57 and 2.5.x through 2.5.1alpha, an assertion failure in slapd can occur in the issuerAndThisUpdateCheck function via a crafted packet, resulting in a denial of service (daemon exit) via a short timestamp. This is related to schema_init.c and checkTime.
CVE-2015-3276 5.0 (AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N) The nss_parse_ciphers function in libraries/libldap/tls_m.c in OpenLDAP does not properly parse OpenSSL-style multi-keyword mode cipher strings, which might cause a weaker than intended cipher to be used and allow remote attackers to have unspecified impact via unknown vectors.
CVE-2020-25709 7.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H) A flaw was found in OpenLDAP. This flaw allows an attacker who can send a malicious packet to be processed by OpenLDAP’s slapd server, to trigger an assertion failure. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2020-25710 7.5 (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H) A flaw was found in OpenLDAP in versions before 2.4.56. This flaw allows an attacker who sends a malicious packet processed by OpenLDAP to force a failed assertion in csnNormalize23(). The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
 
Solution:

The following software releases have been updated to resolve these specific issues: 64-bit Solaris 8.6.0R15, and all subsequent releases.

These issues are being tracked as 1613549.

Workaround:
There are no viable workarounds for these issues.
