Summary:
How to restrict Multicast traffic for a selected IGMP group
Symptoms:
Under certain conditions, such as preventing a malicious intruder from sending forged IGMP messages, or preserving limited bandwidth, how do you restrict the Multicast traffic for a certain selected IGMP group?
Solution:
Perform the following steps:

1. Enable IGMP on an interface:

set interface e1 protocol igmp router
set interface e1 protocol igmp enable


2. Configure access list to restrict selected groups; the following example restricts IGMP group 238.2.2.2 :

set vrouter trust-vr access-list 1 permit ip 238.2.2.2/32 1


3. Apply the access list to the IGMP interface:

set interface e1 protocol igmp accept groups 1
