Changing VSD group id in NSM after reimporting the device

Symptoms:

Do I need to make any other changes before changing the VSD group id in NSM?

Solution:

Once a cluster is imported into NSM, any changes to the VSD group id requires a few changes that need to performed before modifying the VSD group id from 0 to any number.

  • Remove any global DIPs, MIPs, VIPs
  • Once the VSD group id is modified to any number reconfigure the DIPs, MIPS, VIPs at the cluster/member level.
