Article ID: KB11187 KB Last Updated: 11 Aug 2010Version: 3.0
How to configure custom DST in ScreenOS 6.0 and later

By default, the start date for DST is as follows:

ssg20-> get clock dst
DST start:    2, Sun, Mar , 02:00
DST end:      1, Sun, Nov , 02:00
DST offset: 60 (minutes)

In ScreenOS 6.0 and later, Daylight Saving Time can be configured using the "set clock dst" command.

Example 1
Central European Summer Time (CEST) starts on the last Sunday in March at 2:00 AM local standard time and ends on the last Sunday in October at 3:00 AM

ssg20-> set clock dst recurring start-weekday last 0 3 2:00 end-weekday last 0 10 03:00
last = last week of the month
0 = Sunday
3 = March
10 = October

To verify configuration:

ssg20-> get clock dst
DST start: last, Sun, Mar , 02:00
DST end:   last, Sun, Oct , 03:00
DST offset: 60 (minutes)

Example 2
DST starts at 03/30/2009 2:00 AM local standard time and ends at 11/15/2009 3:00 AM

ssg20-> set clock dst start-date 30 3 2009 02:00 end-date 15 11 2009 03:00
To verify configuration:
ssg20-> get clock dst
DST start: 30, Mar , 2009, 02:00
DST end:   15, Nov , 2009, 03:00
DST offset: 60 (minutes)
