The EX-Series Switch provides Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) support for detecting cable breaks and shorts for EX3200 and EX4200 models 24P/24T and 48P/48T.


The TDR test is run from operational mode and will provide pass/fail results.

To start a test on an interface:
request diagnostics tdr start interface <interface-name> 

To clear the previous results on an interface:
request diagnostics tdr abort interface <interface-name>

Display test results for all copper interfaces:
show diagnostics tdr
This will display the test results of all the copper interfaces.

Display test results for a particular interface:
show diagnostics tdr interface <interface-name>
Displays the detailed test result of a particular interface.
