What are all the NSM processes running on the HA Server and their usage?
Solution:
The following processes are part of the HaSvr component of NSM:
HighAvailSvr - process runs in both HA and non-HA mode and handles local database backups and watchdog daemon to restart NSM processes in case of failure

HighAvail - process runs only in HA environment and monitors the heartbeat and connection between the primary and secondary HA server.  It  is responsible for starting/stopping GuiSvr and DevSvr if the server is active or stand-by.

GuiSvrManager - process (version 2007.2 and above) which is a component of GuiSvr, runs on both the active and stand-by HA GuiSvr in order to establish a continuous database replication as transactions are processed and sync to the stand-by server.

Log files for the processes are located in /usr/netscreen/HaSvr/var/errorLog
backup.log    Local / remote backups logs
failover.log    HA failover related information
highavail.0    Monitoring of server processes, status of the peer server
ha.log        rsync related debug messages
