Article ID: KB12068 KB Last Updated: 15 Sep 2011Version: 4.0
What are the settings required to connect to the console of an Security Threat Response Manager (STRM)?
Need to connect to STRM using console connection.  What are the settings?
STRM can be connected with a console connection from any terminal that can emulate VT-100; Putty version .60+ would be a good choice.

The serial console connection should be set to:
8 bit
No parity
1 stop bit.

Also, it may be necessary to turn off all flow control.
