IDP engines on IDP 8200 show high CPU up to 100% even when there is no traffic

IDP engines on IDP 8200 show high CPU up to 100% even when there is no traffic
What is causing the high CPU on the IDP engines?  Even when there is no traffic, the CPU still shows 100%.

IDP 8200 has 6 IDP engines. Each engine is an independent process that processes incoming sessions in a round robin mode.

TOP shows 100% CPU on all the IDP engines almost all the time even if there is no traffic being processed on the IDP. This is normal and by design. IDP engines are always running in a while loop to query for any new packets from the NIC interface drivers. That is why the engines always show up with 100% CPU.

Thus we use the below command for multi cores:

scio idp-cpu-utilization

TOP is used for single core platforms such as IDP 75, 200
