Site-to-site VPN between NetScreen device and Nortel Secure IP Services Gateway

Article ID: KB12553 KB Last Updated: 28 Jan 2009Version: 1.0
How do I configure a VPN connection to a Nortel device?
I am unable to complete a VPN connection to a Nortel device. How is this configured?

Nortel has created a step-by-step document which references the configuration of an IPSEC-VPN on both the Nortel and Netscreen devices. This document can be found on Nortel's support site by navigating to and performing a search for "netscreen vpn". The document title is "Contivity - NetScreen IPSec peer-to-peer tunnel using pre-shared key authentication".

Common things that should be disabled on the Nortel side are
1) Vendor ID
2) Compression
