Article ID: KB12603 KB Last Updated: 09 Mar 2009Version: 1.0
Summary:
Site to Site VPN using Route Based VPN
Remote site is required to src nat all it's VPN traffic.  This has the effect of hiding the true internal IP from the other side of the VPN
Symptoms:
VPN tunnel comes up, but unable to pass traffic through the tunnel
Solution:
If all remote IP's in the VPN tunnel are to be hidden (using nat src policy through the tunnel interface), all that is needed is to "unset flow reverse-route tunnel" to get the traffic to pass through.
