Symptoms:
  • What is the restriction on the number of characters in a 'username' created on the firewall?
  • Using the 'set user' command in the CLI or Objects > Users > Local in the WebUI, what is the maximum number of characters for an Auth user, IKE user, XAUTH user, or L2TP User?

Solution:
The maximum number of characters in a 'username' is 64 characters.

Note:  If the WebUI version you are using does not allow for 64 characters, then use the CLI to create the user.
