Article ID: KB13025 KB Last Updated: 04 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
Summary:
What is the returned  list of attributes that Juniper Steel-Belted Radius (SBR) sends back to the network access device that will assign a user to a VLAN?
Symptoms:
What attribute do I need to use to assign a VLAN?
Solution:
There are three standard RADIUS attributes that will assign a VLAN.  These are:
Tunnel-Type
Tunnel-Medium-Type
Tunnel-Private-Group-ID

Most network access devices will use these attributes.  If these do not work then contact your network access devices manufacturer and ask them what you need to do VLAN assignment.

Example:
Tunnel-Type = VLAN
Tunnel-Medium-Type = 802
Tunnel-Private-Group-ID = <The VLAN number>
