Summary:

Need to copy the crash.dmp file from the flash to an external TFTP server

Symptoms:

The crash.dmp file on the flash of the firewall needs to be exported to a file:

SSG140-> get file
flash:/burnin_log1 40960
flash:/burnin_log0 40960
flash:/ns_sys_config 6439
flash:/envar.rec 908
flash:/crash.dmp 131072
flash:/dnstb.rec 1
flash:/license.key 1078
flash:/expire.rec 66
flash:/kav_db/
(Sometimes engineering may request this file when analyzing a core dump on the firewall.)
Solution:

Note:  This solution applies only to ScreenOS 5.3 and above.

The command syntax to export a file from the flash to a TFTP server is as follows:

save file <file name> to tftp <ip address> <filename>

For example to export the file, crash.dmp, from the flash, run the command:
save file crash.dmp to tftp 1.1.1.1 crashdump.dmp
