QFlow restricts the number of events processed per second on STRM 2500

Article ID: KB13491 KB Last Updated: 12 Mar 2009Version: 1.0
In STRM 2500, the maximum number of Events Per Second (EPS) can be increased to 2500; however, this is limited if QFlow is also enabled.
Some customers who have purchased licensing to allow STRM to manage up to 2500 EPS are seeing error messages and warnings indicating that the Event Processor has reached or exceeded its limit.

These messages are happening at about 990 Events Per Second.
The issue is that the additional processing power needed for the QFlow Processor takes away from the Event Processor's ability to process events.   Thus, the total number of Events Per Second is reduced to a maximum of 1000 when the QFlow processor is active.
