Article ID: KB13548 KB Last Updated: 12 Mar 2009Version: 1.0
Summary:

When a user's password expires, the expired password needs to be updated when the user is logging in via RADIUS authentication through the firewall.  Can an expired password be updated when logging in via the firewall?

Symptoms:

Solution:

Updating expired passwords via RADIUS authentication through the firewall is not supported.

During the authentication process, when receiving authentication results from the RADIUS server, the firewall only expects a reponse including whether the user passes authentication and optionally, the user's admin access privileges.  The firewall does not support attributes in addition to these.
