Article ID: KB14003 KB Last Updated: 24 Apr 2009Version: 1.0
Summary:
How can we use SNMP to monitor the sub interface status?
Symptoms:

Solution:
ScreenOS 6.2 (and below) does not support using RFC MIB II in order to poll for the sub-interface status.  However, ScreenOS does support this monitoring capability using the ScreenOS MIB: NS-INTERFACE.mib (netscreen.netscreenInterface.nsIfTable.nsIfEntry.nsIfStatus).

The ScreenOS MIBs are located here.
