[WX] How do we manually initiate registration process?

  [KB14219] Show Article Properties

Summary:
On occasion, depending on how long the tunnel has been down or connectivity lost, the WX changes could take a long time to propagate to all other WX devices in the network. The following article provides a method of initiating a manual registration process to get the registration done quicker on required WX devices.
Symptoms:
Need to initiate a manual registration process to get the registration done quicker and bring the tunnel up manually.
Solution:
Use one of the two methods listed below on the device of concern:

WebUI

On the non-registration server go to Device setup > Registration Server and then select Submit.

CLI:

From the CLI enter the following commands

configure reg-server set ip-address <ip_address_of_registration_server)
commit
Example:
WXC# configure reg-server set ip-address 10.10.10.10
WXC# commit

After using one of the above methods confirm the successful registration (Admin > Tools > Display System Log).    A log message similar to the following should be posted (Admin > Tools > Display System Log)
[wx-event@juniper.net eventtime="1242808658" metric="Primary Self Registration Done" sev="ok" type="sys"] REG: Self registration completed. IP=10.10.10.10.
I22 Successfully received and processed device list received from Reg server
