What is the procedure to set up Extended HA in NSM?
I need to set up Extended HA for NSM. What is a basic procedure that I should follow?
The procedure is as below:

Install all 4 servers, but do not start the processes

Start the HA Server on the system that has the Primary GUI Server Installed. A way to do this is with the command:
/etc/init.d/haSvr start
- Wait until the GUI Server comes up and login using the GUI
- Add the Device Server
- Change the Device Server to Device Cluster and define the IP Address for the Secondary Server

Start the HA server process on the Primary Device Server

Confirm that the Device Server is shown as OK and the peer state is shown as timed-out in the GUI client

Start the HA Server processes on the Secondary GUI Server and Secondary Device Server

Wait for replication on Primary GUI Server and Primary Device Server to complete for NSM 2007.2 and higher.

Perform a failover of both the GUI Server and Device Server by stopping the HA server process on the Primary GUI and Primary Device Server
- The command
/etc/init.d/haSvr stop
will stop the HA server processes

Confirm, via the GUI, that the status shows the Secondary Servers are active

Start the HA Server process on the Primary GUI Server and Primary Device Server. A way to do this is with the command:
/etc/init.d/haSvr start
After the above steps, test the cross connectivity. Refer to the
NSM Install Guide for further information.
