Article ID: KB15044 KB Last Updated: 24 Sep 2020Version: 3.0
Summary:
What is the maximum number of URLs that can be defined in a category (that is in a blocked or allowed list of URLs)?
Symptoms:
When creating a new category to use with URL filtering, how many entries will each category support?
Solution:
The Concepts & Examples guide states that the maximum number of URL or IP addresses supported in a category is 20.  While that is true, it is not the case for all ISG devices and also the SSG-140 platform. The maximum number of URLs or IP addresses allowed in a category on those firewalls is 50.
