[Archive] How to reliably and securely FTP files to JTAC

0

1

Article ID: KB15585 KB Last Updated: 21 Dec 2018Version: 9.0
Summary:

JTAC often requires data to be collected (such as configuration files, tracedump data, log files, etc) and sent in for review. If the files are larger than 10GB, they cannot be attached to the SR using MyJuniper Service Request Manager

Solution:

Use of FTP (to ftp.juniper.net) is deprecated and was retired on Dec 31, 2017. Large file uploads for service requests should instead use the SSH FTP (SFTP) process described in KB23337 - How to upload large files to a Juniper Service Request.

Modification History:

2018-12-21: Removed FTP instructions and moved important note to the solution section. Also, flagged article as an 'archive' article.
