How to identify if JSA/STRM is running on VMWare

JSA/STRM software installed on VMware is not supported

JSA/STRM on VMware is not supported.  

To identify if the hardware is VMware, obtain the dmidecode from the machine:

On VMware
[root@strm2500-vm ~]# dmidecode | grep Product
Product Name: VMware Virtual Platform
Product Name: 440BX Desktop Reference Platform
[root@strm2500-vm ~]#

On Standard STRM Hardware
[root@strm-104 log]# dmidecode | grep Product
Product Name: STRM 2500
Product Name: PDSMP-JN1
[root@strm-104 log]
