How to find the serial number of a Power Supply on an ISG-2000

In order to RMA a Power Supply of an ISG-2000, both serial number of the ISG-2000 and serial number of the Power Supply are required. While either command "get chassis" or "get system" shows the serial number of the ISG-2000, there isn't a command that displays the serial number of the Power Supply.

The serial number of the power supply is only physically accessible on the power supply itself. The power supply must be removed to view the serial number.

  1. From the back of the ISG-2000, turn off the switch of the defect power supply. The device can run with one power supply.
  2. Disconnect the power cord.
  3. Loosen the two black thumb screws. Once the screws are loosened, pull the power supply out by the steel handle.
  4. The serial number is on the back of the power supply.

For more detail, refer to the Replacing Power Supply (page 39) of the ISG2000 User Guide.
