How to find/access the serial number of the power supply on a NS5400

Summary:

I need to RMA the power supply of the NS5400 device.  Where is the serial number of the power supply?

Symptoms:

JTAC is asking for the 16 digit serial number of the power for the NS5400. How do I access the power supply's serial number?

Solution:

The serial number of the power supply is only physically accessible on the power supply itself.  The power supply must be removed to see the label with the serial number.


For example:



Power off the power supply by using the switch. (The device can run with three power supplies.)
Disconnect the power cord. Loosen the two black thumb screws on the power supply.




Once screws are loosened pull the power supply out by the steel handle:



The 16 digit serial number is on the label of the power supply as shown below:
