Configuring a banner from J-Web for EX Switches

The banner can be configured through CLI or through J-Web. This document explains the J-Web procedure for configuring a banner.

The purpose of creating a system "banner" is to provide a login message to the user before they log in.

NOTE: A system login announcement appears after the user logs in.

STEP 1 : Open J-Web and click on “CONFIGURE” Tab.

STEP 2 : Click on “CLI TOOLS” tab on the bottom left hand side of the screen. Then Click on “Point and Click CLI.”

STEP 3:  Below Configuration Menu expand the “System” box and then click on “login”.

STEP 4: Now you get two boxes to configure “ Announcement” & “Message” banner. You only need to provide the output.

STEP 5: Now click on “Commit” tab.

STEP 6: Click “OK” on the window which shows “Summary of Changes.”

STEP 7: Login to verify the Banner
