[Junos] How to remove a license key

Summary:

How to remove a license key from an SRX  devices once it is installed.

Solution:

To delete a specific license key, you need to specify the license identifier, not the serial number.

Review as follows:

root@PayDay# run show system license <--This will give you the information regarding licenses

Licenses installed:

License identifier: JUNOS201481 <--This is the license identifier
License version: 2
Valid for device: JN10E8E75ADD

bgp-reflection - Border Gateway Protocol route reflection

j-flow - J-FLOW traffic analysis (CFLOW reporting)
permanent


root@PayDay> request system license delete JUNOS201481 <--This will remove the license

IMPORTANT NOTE: If autorecovery state has the deleted license information saved, it will be recover later during reboot.

show system autorecovery state
