[STRM] How to apply an STRM Software patch to systems in HA

Article ID: KB17942 KB Last Updated: 02 Aug 2011Version: 2.0
This article explains how to install STRM Software patches to systems which are deployed as HA.
It is unclear how to install software patches when STRM is in HA deployment.
Because STRM uses block copy to synchronize the Primary and Standby STRM servers, any change that is made to the filesystem of the primary box is replicated to the secondary box as a part of this process.  Thus, to install a patch to an HA deployment of STRM, simply apply the patch to the Primary server and the replication process will take care of the update to the second box as a matter of course.

There is no need to take any action on the secondary server.
