Alteon Networks dictionary for Steel-Belted Radius

Article ID: KB19288 KB Last Updated: 08 Mar 2017Version: 3.0
This article provides information about the Alteon Networks dictionary for SBR.
  • Customers may require access to some Alteon vendor specific attributes.

  • The current dictionary contains only the Alteon-Service-Type attribute.

The alteon.dct file must be copied to the installation directory of the Steel-Belted Radius server:

  • *\service for Windows server.

  • */radius for Linux/Unix.

After this, you must add the alteon.dct entry to the dictiona.dcm file. Add it to the end of the file by using the same format as the other dictionary files. You also have to add the Alteon dictionary entry to the vendor.ini file.

Copy the -Standard Radius- section. Change the Make/Model header to Alteon and reference the Alteon dictionary without the .dct extension. Once this is done, restart the Steel-Belted Radius server.
