[ScreenOS] Errors when loading configuration on RMA device

Article ID: KB19985 KB Last Updated: 17 Jan 2020Version: 3.0

Attempting to load firewall configuration onto a new device and receiving the error:

Unsupported command - set protocol ospf
.Interface ethernet1/2 index 101, should be <0 - 50>

When loading a pre-existing configuration onto a new device some of the command lines are not getting entered into the firewall causing some of your functionality not to be added to the device.

This can include:

  • Enabling OSPF
  • Maximum allowable virtual systems
  • Maximum allowable zones
  • Maximum allowable virtual routers
  • Maximum allowable VLAN's
  • GPRS
  • IDP Functionality

When receiving a new device there are no licenses on the device.

Prior to uploading your configuration to your device, re-add your device license by going to Generate Licenses for RMA devices

This will add your advanced licenses to your device to allow advanced features.

Modification History:

2020-01-16: Updated URL link to point to ScreenOS License for RMAs
