[Archive] The SBR Admin GUI is not correctly displayed in Windows 7 and Vista

Article ID: KB20469 KB Last Updated: 20 Dec 2019Version: 5.0
This article describes the issue of radio buttons and check boxes not being displayed on a Windows 7 or Windows Vista workstation.
  • It is difficult to navigate through the SBR Admin GUI, when radio buttons and checkboxes are not displayed.

  • The following image is an example of how the GUI is displayed, when the Aero screen theme is enabled:

This issue is due to the SBR Admin GUI being a Java based application; so it is not correctly displayed in Windows Vista and 7. If Aero based themes are disabled in Windows 7or Vista, the Admin GUI is displayed normally.

To disable the Aero them on Windows Vista or 7, perform the following procedure:
  1. Right-click the desktop and select Personalization.

  2. Go to the Basic and High Contrast themes section and select the Windows Classic theme:

  3. After the Windows Classic theme is applied, the SBR GUI will display all the options. The following image illustrates the SBR GUI, when the Aero theme is disabled on Windows 7:
