##Tag for Delete## [TX] Example - Setting the SFC Chassis Number and Config Size switch button on the TXP/TXP-3D Router Craft Interface

Article ID: KB21097 KB Last Updated: 28 Jul 2020Version: 3.0

When installing a new set of TX Matrix Plus (TXP/TXP-3D) Routers, the Chassis Number and Config Size switch button on the Switch Fabric Chassis (SFC) Craft Interface Front Panel should be set correctly according to the number of Line Card Chassis (LCC) chosen. This article lists the correct configuration settings for the routers.

  • How to set the TXP/TXP-3D SFC Chassis Number and Config Size correctly

  • Chassis Status LED "Standby" is ON

For TX Matrix Plus (TXP) A4 (1 SFC + 2 LCC / 1 SFC + 3 LCC / 1 SFC + 4 LCC) Mode:

  • The Chassis Number contains two switch buttons and should always be set to "00" by default - indicating there is only one SFC installed in this system.

  • The Config Size contains one switch button and should be set to "1" for A4 mode:

    • "0" - by default , Invalid
    • "1" - A4
    • "2" - A16
    • "3" - Future Configuration

If the Chassis Number and Config Size is set to "002", under A4 mode configuration, the Chassis Status LED "Standby" on the TX Matrix Plus Craft Interface is ON . This is abnormal, as this LED is reserved for future use.

For TXP-3D A4-A8 (T1600-3D/T4000-3D/Mixed LCC-3D)Mode:

  • The Config Size should be set to "3".  Note that the other settings of 0x8-0xF are Reserved and should not be altered.

  • Software will monitor the FPD dial setting; in case the dial setting is changed, an alarm and warning message will be raised for customer awareness.
