[IDP] What is contained in the Predefined Category "All Attacks"

0

0

Article ID: KB21247 KB Last Updated: 04 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
Summary:
This article details what is not included in the IDP predefined category "All Attacks."
Symptoms:
On the NSM for use with ISG-IDP and standalone IDP, there is an option to load the "All Attacks" policy. Administrators believe they are loaded on every attack policy onto their IDP and ISG-IDP devices. However, this is not the case.
Solution:
The attack signature database is constantly growing and is currently over 200+MB in size. To accommodate this, the "All Attacks" predefined policy does not actually contain the entire attack signature database. It contains everything minus all the server to client (S2C) and "Misc" attack signatures.
