[EOL/EOE] Failure to import SRX into NSM

This article describes the issue of the failure to import SRX into NSM.

When adding a SRX into NSM, NSM  is unable to import SRX. The following error message is displayed:

Error Details:
Attack version check exception in RPC - check device


According to the error detail, you need to check the SRX side. Try using request security idp security-package install; it's status can be seen with the request security idp security-package install status command

. If any of the following errors are seen in the status area, then its related to the sig db update issue:

Done;Attack DB update : failed while deleting existing entries for platforms.xml
Done;Attack DB update : failed while deleting existing entries for groups.xml
Done;Attack DB update : failed while deleting existing entries for SignatureUpdate.xml

You need to recover SRX from a corrupted attack DB. For more information, refer to KB13372 - How to troubleshoot signature attack failure issue on SRX
