Article ID: KB22401 KB Last Updated: 05 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
Summary:
This article describes the issue of SBR Carrier signalware reporting TC_CANCEL, but snoop shows that HLR returns information.
Symptoms:
When testing SIM/AKA authentication with an HLR, go.omni reports a TC_CANCEL for the message returned from the HLR. But in a snoop, the HLR returns a valid message.
Cause:
This issue will occur if the Omni stack was set up to use the mixed mode (AC7) protocol stack; but the HLR is using ITU (C7). It is recommended to use only the mixed mode, if you know that the HLR will be using ANSI (A7).
Solution:
In the $OMNI_HOME/conf/nodeConf.MGW.* file, change AC7TCAPmoduleNAME to C7TCAPmoduleNAME and restart Signalware.

This:
AC7TCAPmoduleNAME TCMGlogicalNAME LNDtcapNotReady

Should be this:
C7TCAPmoduleNAME TCMGlogicalNAME LNDtcapNotReady
