Article ID: KB22929 KB Last Updated: 05 Mar 2017Version: 2.0
Summary:
This article provides information about a workaround to support wild card functionality for the NAS IP address in proxy.ini.
Symptoms:
Proxy.ini supports:

  • Attribute map string wildcarding only. For example: NAS-Identifier = abc123*

  • * matches 0 or more characters.

  • Any characters after the * in the map are ignored.

  • ? matches any 1 character.

  • Other data types, such as NAS IP address, do not support wildcarding in Proxy.ini.
Cause:

Solution:
Workaround:

  1. Add a Radius client range in the SBR admin GUI.

  2. Enable AddFunkClientGroupToRequest in radius.ini.

  3. Build an attribute map on the proxy.ini as Funk-Radius-Client-Group = <Radius Clients Name>:

    [AuthAttributeMap]

    <Realm Name_1>
                Funk-Radius-Client-Group = <Radius Clients Name_1>
    <Realm Name_2>
                Funk-Radius-Client-Group = <Radius Clients Name_2>

  4. Restart the SBR services.
