Article ID: KB23513 KB Last Updated: 08 Mar 2017Version: 4.0
Summary:
This article provides information on how to obtain Administrator access logs from SBR.
Symptoms:
How to obtain Administrator access logs from SBR.
Cause:

Solution:
To obtain Admin access logs and activities performed by the SBR administrator, perform the following procedure:

  1. Open the SBR Service directory (by default, it is: C:\Program Files\Juniper Networks\Steel-Belted Radius\Service).

  2. Open the radius.ini file and go to the [Auditlog] section.

  3. Enable the Auditlog section by making it equal to 1and un-commenting the Enable section:
    [AuditLog]
    Enable = 1
    ;LogfilePermissions = owner:group mode
    ;DaysToKeep = 30

  4. Restart the SBR service.

  5. You will find an XML file in C:\Program Files\Juniper Networks\Steel-Belted Radius\Service\audit. SBR maintains an audit log file to record administrator activities and CCM events. Audit log records are stored in the XML format. The audit log does not track changes made via the LDAP configuration interface (LCI).

As per the above example, the administrator logged on to SBR and added the TEST native user.

Administrative activities include the following:

  • Logging in and out by Steel-Belted Radius administrators.

  • Creating, modifying, and deleting Steel-Belted Radius objects (Radius clients, users, profiles, proxy targets, proxy realms, tunnels, administrators, authentication policies, or CCM nodes).

  • Importing files.
