Summary:
This article provides information about the types of privacy protocol that can be used for a SNMPv3 USM user.
Symptoms:
  • The types of privacy protocols that can be used for a SNMPv3 USM user.

  • Via the WebUI, only DES is supported.

  • For AES, the user has to be created.

Cause:

Solution:
You cannot configure an USM user for SNMPv3 to have a privacy protocol, other than DES, via the WebUI. An USM user can be configured via the command line.
