Article ID: KB23760 KB Last Updated: 08 Mar 2017Version: 3.0
Summary:
This article describes the issue of authentication failure after a new server certificated is uploaded to a SBR device.
Symptoms:
Authentication failure after a new server certificated is uploaded to a SBR device.
Cause:
This issue is due to the wildcard certificate; which is not supported on SBR.
Solution:
Check the new certificate, which was obtained from Certificate Authority (such as DigiCert, VeriSign, and so on), for the following details:

  1. The certificate should not be a wildcard certificate, as it is not supported by SBR:

  2. In the new and old certificates, check for the change in the certificate chain. If any new intermediate CA is added in the new certificate, then you need to install the same on the client side as well, to complete the certificate chain.
