[STRM] STRM is not able to parse Cisco ACE logs

This article describes the issue of STRM being unable to parse Cisco ACE logs.
  • When certain events from the Cisco ACE device are not parsed on STRM, it might be due to the fastpath log setting on the ACE device.

  • In the event payload, extraneous white spaces were noticed.

This issue is due to the fastpath configuration setting on the ACE device, which slightly changes the message format.


Disable fastpath logging on the ACE device. Note, this can have performance implications. To disable the ACE from logging connection setup and teardown syslog messages, type the following command:

host1/Admin(config)# no logging fastpath
