Article ID: KB24993 KB Last Updated: 10 Oct 2020Version: 3.0
Summary:
This article provides information on how to perform various RM-200 operations via the CLI.
Symptoms:

How to perform various RM-200 operations via the CLI. Some of these operations include:

  • resetting a license

  • delete a corrupted monitoring DB

  • upload RM-200 logs if GUI is unavailable
Solution:

For each of the following commands, you need access to the RM-200 CLI; either via the serial console or SSH. The SSH server has to be enabled on RM-200; for the latter.

Switch to the enable mode, before using any of the following commands. If the SSH server is not enabled, connect via the serial console and enable it:

configure terminal
(config) # ssh server enable

  • Deleting the licenses (this will erase all the licenses on the RM-200):
    rm-services stop
    rm-services delete licenses
    rm-services restart
  • Deleting the monitoring database:

If the monitoring database is compromised and the services cannot start, the existing plans will not be affected.
    rm-services stop
    rm-services delete monitor-db
    rm-services restart
  • Uploading the logs to a remote machine (if the GUI is unavailable and the logs needs to be obtained via the CLI):
       rm-services upload logs ?
        <URL or scp://username:password@hostname/path/filename>

       rm-services upload logs tac:tac@10.142.1.14/home/tac
