[WLM] The RingMaster server does not run

Summary:
This article provides information on how to troubleshoot Ringmaster server problems.
Symptoms:
How to troubleshoot RingMaster server issues, when the RingMaster server is not running.
Cause:

Solution:

To resolve the issue, perform the following procedure:

  1. On the server, open a browser and go to https://127.0.0.1:443 to view the main server page.

  2. On Windows, use netstat –b to see if the default/configured port is being used by a process, other than the RingMaster Java process. Change the port in services-conf.xml, if required.

  3. Verify if the Windows firewall is disabled.

  4. Check all server logs for Java exceptions or errors.

  5. Look for both ringmaster.exe and java.exe as running processes.
